The Biggs Museum is dedicated to preserving the legacy of American art, housing a permanent collection that features works by American artists from the colonial period through the present. Located in the heart of downtown, the museum is east of Schuffe Park. Comprised of 14 galleries, the museum features oil and watercolor paintings, 18th and 19th century artifacts including furniture and silver, and work by Delaware Illustrator Frank E. Schoonover.
